Thomas Cook UK & Ireland has announced two new flight routes to be operated this summer direct from Newcastle Airport, to Izmir in Turkey and Bourgas in Bulgaria. The introduction of these popular holiday destinations will mean that holidaymakers can now fly from the airport to 29 hotspots to enjoy a summer retreat.
Ian Derbyshire, CEO of Thomas Cook UK & Ireland, said: “We want to make it as convenient as possible for our customers to go on holiday. By adding these extra summer flight routes from Newcastle Airport, holidaymakers now have even more destinations to choose from, which are easily accessible from their local airport.”
Thomas Cook already operates flights from Newcastle Airport to the Canary Islands, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Crete, Balearic Islands, Cyprus, Tunisia, Malta, and Egypt.
Izmir, Turkey
Flights to Izmir will run from May to October. The region offers either the small, traditional resort of Ozdere, which has a sand and shingle beach and an idyllic promenade, or the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Kusadasi, with cafes, colourful bazaars, restaurants and two beaches from which to choose.

Flights to Bourgas will run from May to October and it offers everything for the ideal holiday.
