easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has confirmed more than 9,000 seats have already been booked by North East passengers looking to get away this Easter.
But the airline’s fastest selling routes from Newcastle International Airport across 22 – 25 April are split between continental city breaks and UK-based staycations. Top routes include:
1) Paris
2) Malaga
3) Alicante
4) Belfast
5) Bristol
Hugh Aitken, UK commercial manager for easyJet, says: “It seems our North East passengers are divided when it comes to deciding whether to holiday abroad or at home this Easter.
“It appears travellers are either keen to escape the typical British weather, traffic and mounting Royal Wedding fever or they are determined to embrace our bank holiday traditions away from home but still in the UK.
“Those who haven’t booked an Easter getaway yet needn’t worry - we still have nearly 3,000 seats available on flights to our 13 low-fare destinations.”
Passengers can enjoy flights from Newcastle Airport to a number of popular sun and city destinations including; Alicante, Barcelona, Belfast, Bristol, Faro, Geneva, Ibiza, Majorca, Malaga, Malta, Menorca, Nice and Paris meaning they have plenty of choice when it comes to selecting a destination for their foreign break or staycation this Easter.
