On the 75th anniversary of Newcastle International Airport, a commemorative book was published in association with NCJ media.
The book documents the Airport's progression from the very first flight in 1935, showing the transition from a collection of wooden huts and a grass runway to a world-recognised international airport.
The reader can expect to be taken on an in-depth journey through the decades of the Airport’s rich history. The hard-back, coffee table book feature never-seen-before photographs from portraits of Royalty and sporting heroes to the ever-changing team of airport and airline staff. Personal memories from North East residents are peppered throughout the pages, giving a unique snapshot into how the Airport has changed over the years.
The book is priced at £15 and available to purchase by calling 0191 214 3568.
